Show Notes
Love Addiction
Moe Bruce is passionate about investing in deep and meaningful connections and intimacy, engaging with others, building relationships, and being present in the moment. For 20 years, she has been a coach and consultant for CEOs and global leaders in large and small international organizations and has built profound connections with strangers throughout America and Europe. She’s always had a deep curiosity about how people live their lives as well as what she can learn from them.
In this episode Moe and I discuss “Love Addiction.” Love can be thrilling, but it can also be hazardous. When love becomes an obsession and all consuming, mixed with drama and dysfunction, people can experience a sense of losing themselves to another or the ideal of another. The cycles of alternating ecstasy and despair, and desperate longing after love loss, can lead to a spiraling of hardships and ruin. Moe shares her story of how she identified that she had/has a love addiction as well as some of her personal experiences with Sex and Love Addiction Anonymous (SLAA), a 12-step recovery process.
“Not all codependents are love addicts, but all love addicts are codependent.”
