In this solocast I talk about it is often easier to give love, kindness, support, etc., than to receive them for a mix of psychological, emotional, and cultural reasons. Giving seems to feel more natural and rewarding for many people, while receiving requires vulnerability that can feel uncomfortable or evening threatening. And yet both giving and receiving are essential for healthy relationships and well-being. I also tell of a recent experience that gave me a chance to be vulnerable and receive love, support and kindness.
