Show Notes
In this solocast I talk about my recent experience and observations during Hurricane Helene’s devastation that hit Western North Carolina and the Southeast. For those of you not local, Hurricane Helene swept through the Appalachian mountains, bringing two days of relentless rain (32 inches at my house) and strong winds. The storm saturated the earth, causing historic flooding and leaving unimaginable damage and devastation in its wake. Since September 29th, the destruction of our community has left many devasted with unimaginable loss.
In the wake of this tragedy, there was and is beauty. The beauty of communities far and wide coming to aid and help one another. It has been so heartwarming to see humans helping other humans so selflessly. It solidified my deep belief in creating and fostering good, close, and caring relationships within our communities and neighborhoods. We need to have eachothers back!
